Born in Portugal in 1932 and created by Alberto Ferreira Couto who, in collaboration with a friend and known dentist in Porto, formulated a curative and pharmaceutical product dubbed the ‘Pasta Medicinal Couto’. For almost a century, this paste has been appreciated for combating the widespread problem of gum inflammation. Today, the Couto paste is created in a modern laboratory, following the original recipe,and utilizing semi-artisanal methods, without using ingredients of animal origin.
